SRTS Wayfinding

WALKSacramento and the City of West Sacramento are working to install a family friendly wayfinding program throughout West Sacramento.

Wayfinding are directional signs and artwork that help people get where they are going. The wayfinding we're using tells people how long of a walk or bike ride it is to their favorite places, like parks, libraries, community centers, and restaurants.

WALKSacramento is looking for feedback on where you and your family like to go in your community.

To take the survey and learn more about the program visit: https://www.wayfindws.com/

Bee Active Bridgeway

Bridgeway Island Elementary School has been participating in a program called
Safe Routes to School with support from WALKSacramento, the
Washington Unified School District, and Bridgeway Island Elementary PTO. The goal of this
program is to encourage and educate our community of the benefits of walking and
biking to school, while increasing the level of safety and participation for our students.
We are currently using a web-based program called active4.me that helps us keep track
of the positive impact that walking and biking can have on an individual student, a
classroom, and our school community as well.

• T-shirts are $12 (donation) and all proceeds go directly back into the Safe Routes to School program for our students.
